Metal polishing steps
Here are some steps that a metal polishing service may take to polish stainless steel:
Cleaning
The stainless steel surface must be thoroughly cleaned to remove any dirt, dust or debris. This can be done using a mild soap and water solution or a specialised metal cleaner.
Sanding
The metal polishing service will then use sandpaper or other abrasive materials to remove any scratches, blemishes or surface imperfections on the stainless steel. The abrasive material used will depend on the severity of the imperfections and the desired level of polish.
Buffing
Once the surface is smooth, the metal polishing service will use a buffing wheel or pad to create a polished finish on the stainless steel. A buffing compound or polishing paste may be applied to the wheel or pad to enhance the shine and smoothness of the metal.
Final Cleaning
After the polishing is complete, the stainless steel surface will be cleaned again to remove any residual polishing compound or other contaminants
